Macau Tower Convention & Entertainment Centre

    20 reviews

Other than Macau famous Ruins of St. Paul's, this is probably the modern day landmark for Macau. It is the tallest building in Macau, however I just don't is much special after all. It is very pricey to get in the top. I see go here just one time visit that's about it. There's no hotel or restaurant that would ...

    City of Dreams Macau

    9 reviews

This is the largest spectacle of a water show that one can possibly imagine. Just imagine a show that is staged on a pool ( large enough to accommodate 3 Olympic pools), with a period love story that journeys through time. The state of the art performances, the dazzling costumes, the special sound-water-lightning effects along with death defying stunts makes ...

It's a Catholic cathedral with a bishop's house attached. Not really my cup of tea. but I can see it is typical of emerging markets Catholicism, which is much lower church than that in Western Europe or the USA.

    Coloane Village

    3 reviews

If you are looking at seeing the "old" Macau, as opposed to the casino-orientated Macau, then head for the idyllic island of Coloane. Hong Kong expats have been coming here for years to sample fine Portugese seafood and wine at Fernandos Restaurant and then stumble back to wonderful Pousada de Coloane for a peaceful night's rest. Check it out:

    Choi Heong Yuen Bakery

Get cookies, sweet egg rolls, cakes, and all kind of pastry here! It's a pretty famous brand and they carry them in U.S. Chinese supermarkets, but it's cool to go to an actual shop. They are all over Macau.

The House of Dancing Waters is a spectacular show housed in a 2000 seat theatre that is designed specifically for the show. Created by Franco Dragone of the Cirque du Soleil fame, this show is reminense of both O and Le Reve in Vegas. The theme is easy to follow and beautifully executed. There are some surprises that some may ...

Not bad as a stop in a city tour but not a must-see place. Exhibits are passable, nice enough place for pictures.
