All the biggest acts of the world always stop in New York City! And when a big act comes to town you can almost guarantee they'll be heading to Madison Square Garden.Recommended for:Local Culture

The Knicks and Rangers are the only New York teams that actually play in Manhattan these days. When either is playing a home game the surrounding neighborhood of Chelsea is jumping. Aside from the home teams, other exhibitions are held here. Ali-Frazier I & II, the US vs. USSR (not the Miracle on Ice) and countless exciting college basketball games have all been held here. The Garden is also one of the city's main concert halls. I saw Cold Play here in 2005 and it was phenomenal.

Madison Square Garden is a must for not only Knicks games but many concerts, Disney on ice, hockey games..etc. make sure you come here w a full belly because food is egos overpriced. Drinks are expensive as well- other than they great event space and never diss appoints

Let's face it Madison Square Garden just isn't as fun unless I'm sitting there watching the Rangers play. But putting my bitterness towards the NHL aside, this is by far one of my favorite venues in New York City. I've had some wonderfully exciting moments here. However, you've never experienced the Garden unless you've been to a Rangers game. There's no other way to experience the pride and passion of a New Yorker.
