Amazing time! I went during Easter time and it was great. If you're religious and would like to see traditional catholic ceremonies, this is the place. Their Easter traditions are beautiful and very moving.

Easy to navigate with their excellent subways, beautiful green space, lots of things to see and do (many of them free), very fun and friendly locals all combined to make this city at least of 4 star. Will return to see it it merits even more.

Madrid is beautiful. However, I prefer Barcelona, which I think is more lively and friendly. With that said though, Madrid is still a great place to see with many historic sites and buildings, places to shop, and a beautiful park. Not as many people speak English here as they do in Barcelona, but there are still a good amount that do. This city seems slower and more relaxing, especially in the daytime. At night, though, the city becomes alive!
