Although I've lived in the Bay Area practically all my life, there is always something new to explore. The Magic Bus was unlike any tour I've taken. The tour, which ran close to 2 hours, gave those who attended insight on parts of San Francisco during the 1960s, and also gave a brief history lesson on this wonderful city. I was able to take part in this during a day with beautiful weather, which made the experience even more enjoyable.

I "took a trip" on this groovy tie-dyed magic bus, which transports its participants to the psychedelic '60s era in San Francisco as it weaves around the city for two hours. Led by an extremely enthusiastic guide from Antenna Theater, it's both a spirited and fact-filled journey through neighborhoods that played a big role in the city's hippie history: Haight, North Beach and even the Financial District, to name a few. The journey includes videos (which also look like they were made in the 60s!) and a stop in Golden Gate Park. Enjoyable for both tourists and locals looking for insights into one of SF's most memorable time periods.

Our tour was on a sparkling clear sunny day and from high in the bus we could see over the automobiles into the green meadows of Golden Gate Park, and were were eye-level with the stunning and colorful Victorians highlighted in the tour. I also loved the "rocket ship ride" and the free spirit of the entire adventure. Three cheers for Chris Hardman and Antenna Theater and the Magic Bus.

If you're looking for a city tour that is out of the ordinary, then check out the Magic Bus! It's a groovy 2-hour bus tour led by Antenna Theater. Learn interesting facts about SF in the 60s as you take a trip on this psychedelic bus.
Artemis was our tour guide and she was extremely animated and kept the vibe light-hearted. You can make the experience even more fun by being open to getting into character.
While beverages aren't allowed on the bus, you can enjoy some during the 15 minute stop at the Conservatory of Flowers in Golden Gate Park.

This was the most unique tour of SF I have ever been on. It takes you on a psychedelic trip not only through the city, but through time itself! Showing all the places that the 60's and 70's effected the great city.
Seeing the city like never before was done through elaborate music, movies, and of course our amazing tour guide "Artemis."
The tour was very interactive and informative, it was so much more sitting and listening.

"Let's take a fantasmic trip to the 60s!" You board this colorful bus blowing bubbles and ride around the city seeing everything in a new perspective. I'm a native San Franciscan, but I learned so much more about the city on this tour. LOVED IT! Peace, love, and happiness everyone...

The Magic Bus is a really fun tour of San Francisco seen from a 60s era perspective! The music and animated clips you see and hear on the bus while touring the city make for a really fun experience!
The tour comes with a program booklet and fun 3-d glasses so you can get your creative hats on and start "visualizing" !
This is a great way to spend 2-3 hours and touring beautiful San Francisco. Great for the out-of-towner or local alike! Visit Chinatown, The Haight, Golden Gate Park and even make a pit stop at the park to take a nice 10-15 min stroll along the flowers.
