Magnolia Plantation has a great boat tour back into the old rice patty's now a swamp to view all kinds of birds and animals go early in the morning. The Nature Train is accessible great way to see the Plantation. The gardens in full bloom is site not to miss. it will take about 3 to 4 hours to view everything.

Wonderful place to go in the spring when the flowers are really in bloom. Nice house to tour. Great location for weddings (I'm a professional musician and I have performed for many weddings here).

Suspend any judgments for the day, as history doesn't always have to be staid and boring. Sure, there's the classic museum-like house, but there's also a Disney ride-like nature tour, alligator tours, small zoo, Biblical garden, giant gift store, slave cabin tour, etc. It's not cheap, but you could conceivably spend an entire day here. (There's a decent cafe on the grounds, serving South Carolinian delicacies like she-crab soup.)

Beautiful Plantation! Did not really get to tour the plantation but went there a couple of times for my niece's wedding. She married at the Carriage House area on the Ashley River. Lovely place for the ceremony and reception at the carriage house. The wedding was picture perfect. Photo opportunities are unbelievable!
