      Semproniana - metro Hospital/ Diagonal
Don't go to Ra, Salamanca or El Quatre Gats - touristy
Clothing stores - Xtart & Panno - fab pieces - multiple locations

Haven't been there in a few years so hope these are still viable
Be sure to buy a Caganer - Catalon figurines of people defacating for nativity scenes! And also , the s**t logs.where the night before Christmas the family gathers around the log and the kids beat it with sticks and ask it to "s**t " some presents and in the am the log is surrounded by presents. I have not witnessed this in person but I do have a log. Ha! Enjoy. Bring me back a Cagner!

You have a lot of bars to eat cañas and tapas nearby. I would avoid going on a saturday or sunday because La Latina (the area) tends to be quite packed between 2 and 5.
