The wonderful staff, to the fantastic pool, the relaxing spa treatments to the wonderfully wooden adorned rooms. Everything here was great. You'll have to get used to getting your car checked for bombs and security being top notch considering you're staying in one, if not the finest hotel in the financial district. Also.. I should mention that waking up in ...

This too is sort of a dated hotel. It is but a block away from shangrila hotel and the rest of makati. It is a place where President Bush last visited. I personally like it because of the candid camera shots of me drunkenly dancing in the water fountain. I was not supposed to be dancing in the water fountain.. ...

Its a more historic hotel which I believe michael jackson once stayed. The furnishing are a touch dated but the top floor ballroom is still fantastic and large enough to hold a huge function. The location of the hotel is right in the middle of the financial district and right across from the shopping center where everything is at. Though ...

I stayed here for a couple of nights recently and I was very impressed! The staff was incredibly gracious and accommodating. The room was plush and pristine. The free breakfast buffet was amazing! It had a nice mix of Filipino, Asian, and Western fare. The location is awesome, across the way from Greenbelt and walking distance to several other malls.

I came here and stayed for many days with nearly as many people. The 3 bedroom suites are really 4 bedroom suites if you dont mind the one room being a touch less opulent, though much quieter and more secluded than the others. Keep in mind that the room I'm talking about is technically for where your house keeper would ...

My room had 2 double beds, which was absolutely fine with me because I used one for sleeping, and the other for in-room massages. I was able to get 2 in-room massages for the week I had stayed, each TWO hours long only for $25 USD. Insaaaane. You can never get that in the states here! It's a naked massage ...

The decor might be a bit bland at this spot midway up Makati Ave., but the rooms are clean and business-standard, the buffet breakfast (with omelette station!) is solid, and the rooftop pool and restaurant are lovely. Good value.

A fine budget option in central Manila's upscale Makati neighborhood, the guesthouse has both dorms and private rooms starting from $18 / $24 USD. It's located in a private apartment building and has a doorman for security, as well as a pool.

One of the new hotels in the area. The neighborhood is no longer sketchy. Inside, rooms are cozy, but very modern and very clean. I loved the large windows from floor to ceiling, and it's got everything needed in the small place. Also not hard to get taxis to roam around in this location.

I have stayed at a lot of MOs over the years. Quality varies a bit but MOs are always at least a solid 4 stars. This property is by far the worst that I have experienced. MO should exit this property or make the investments needed to make this worthy of the brand name. The Peninsula and Shangri-La are much ...

Exactly what you'd expect from a Best Western property, the Oxford Suites offer rooms designed and decorated to a predictable business standard. Then again, they're quite comfortable, and the location off central Makati Ave is good, even if you'll get a fair number of dudes looking to sell you Cialis and ersatz rolexes on the street outside. Best of all? ...

Situated at the north end of Makati City, MNL is a decent choice for a hostel. They have dorm beds for 450 and doubles. Shared washrooms and showers. Common area with TV. Kitchen. WiFi works well. Breakfast is served in the morning, but isn't much. Staff is enthusiastic and helpful.

Both the studios and slightly larger standard rooms (standards with balconies) at this spot off the far north end of the Makati Ave strip are showing their age. The decor and battered wood cabinets are a bit tired looking, though the in-room hot plates and cheap tariffs make it a good bet for those who want to self-cater, or who ...
