Fabulous for morning walks along the Promenade watching the waves and the shops open up for the day. Enjoy a coffee as you soak up the sunrise. Later afternoon is also a lovely time to visit the Malecon to watch the sunset while you drink a cocktail from one of the many oceanfront bars or cafes along the front.

Walking the malecon is so much fun, from street vendors, to local antojitos and nightly shows. A popular destination for locals and tourist, this will give you a taste of the real PV.

Lots of sculptures. During holidays look for the sand sculptures as well. Shopping, restaurants, and clubs. Be sure to walk south towards the pedestrian bridge. In the evening you can eat your way up or down with local food that is cheap. Start with the little places right beside the bridge. You could also start south of the bridge at the Sea Monkey with 10 peso margaritas for sunset and then work your way up. Don't forget to look for the cathedral just past the arches.

Amazing shopping with a little taste of everything. Was nice to get away from the resort and enjoy a wall along the beach.
The only downside is that some of the vendors can be quite aggressive, and many trying to sell time shares.
I completed all my souvenir shopping while walking the boardwalk.
