    Neptune's Net Seafood

    19 reviews

A classic road-tripping stop near the Ventura / LA County line, Neptune's net is where surfers in wetsuits, Harley bikers in bandannas, and kids with sand between their toes all chow down on fresh seafood at outdoor picnic tables. The classic fish (or scallop or shrimp) and chips combo is pretty filling, or you can splurge on something just pulled ...

    The Sunset Restaurant

    9 reviews

Excellent cuisine and unbeatable views of the ocean just across the street. The menu is all upscale and exquisite, but the atmosphere is not as hoity toity. I had divine fish tacos, while my dining partners had scallops, mussels, prime rib, and organic short ribs - and every single one of us raved about our dishes. Dinner time is perfect ...

    Paradise Cove Beach Cafe

    10 reviews

I'm giving this 5 stars because the beach is so beautiful there. The food is average. Best bet is a sandwich or a hamberger. A great place to have a cocktail or glass of wine while watching the kids play in the sand. You can sit at tables out on the sand. There is inside dining as well.

    Moonshadows

Tough to beat the views at this Oceanside spot. Have read complaints about the wait staff attitude but our server was excellent. Food was great too! On nice day, make sure to hit the patio area. Valet parking is $7 which seems high

    Duke's Malibu

    8 reviews

If you are a tourist visiting California for the first time, Dukes is a good place to go.. the restaurant has a small sand bar outside, nice if you want to experience eating al fresco. Food is ok, prices can be high for the quality of food.

    Geoffrey's Restaurant

You are def paying for the view. Dinner was great but we came here when the sun was down. So we didnt have a view. Service was top notch and they included the valet fee onto our check. The cocktail was good but nothing fancy. Steak was great and the risotto was delicious. My favorite dish is hazelnut chocolate tort. ...

    Zuma Beach

    4 reviews

One of California's largest and most popular beaches, Zuma is known for its long, wide sands and excellent surf conditions. Wild dolphins are often seen playing close to shore, sometimes hamming it up for beach goers and eliciting their spontaneous applause.

    Taverna Tony

Pretty decent Greek food in a fun setting. Belly dancers on certain nights, which is always a little weird and fun. The service is often mediocre, but this is always an entertaining spot for dinner.

The scallops were delectable, the wienerschnitzel authentic and the chocolate mousse tower light and not too sweet. The service was attentive but not intrusive. I loved the place!

    Cafe Habana Malibu

    3 reviews

If you make it to malibu, stop by the malibu lumber yard (shopping plaza, not an actual lumber yard) for some inexpensive cuban food. The orginial (and still my favorite) lives in NYC, but this california version does not disappoint. Walk around the shops in the lumber yard to see some movie stars.

Great seafood spot next to the beach. Can get crowded on the weekends and orders can take awhile to arrive. But it's fresh and good! Outdoor seating available.

Malibu and Vine Bar & Grill

    3 reviews

FAR FAR FAR! anticipate your drive to be at least an hr, if they have traffic it may be even longer! I strongly suggest to pack yourself a picnic because there literally is no restaurants just a snack station by the golf areas, and its pretty much sandwiches and hot dogs! Nothing wine related, to enhanced your wine for all ...

Malibu Kitchen & Gourmet Country Market

The lines here are VERY long, and do not move quickly. It is worth the wait though - their sandwiches are fantastic (try the pulled pork). They have a separate bakery counter where you pay, which is an excellent marketing strategy since passing up the desserts on display takes some strong willpower. I had a rocky road bar (amazing), but ...

    Zooma Sushi

    2 reviews

The food at Zooma is fantastic. It is not located in the heart of a touristed area, so the crowd is mostly locals. The fish is extremely fresh, and the presentation is lovely. I have been a couple of times, and will go back again when I am in the area.
