    Moonshadows

20356 Pacific Coast Hwy, Malibu, CA 90265

    8 reviews

I love coming to brunch or drinks at Moonshadows. You can't beat the views since the patio is literally right over the water. There are comfortable lounge seats and booths and sometimes you can even see dolphins playing out in the ocean. The food and drinks are both always great - I haven't ever been disappointed here.

Very nice, upscale restaurant overlooking the ocean in Malibu. Food is fantastic and service is excellent. If you come, make sure you get here before sunset (at least for cocktails) to really experience the magic of this place. Geoffrey's after dark is only half of the experience.

I had a great time here with some friends and their kids. The kids ran around outside until the food was served. I had a burger, which was pretty darned good. Cafe Habana Malibu

3939 Cross Creek Road, Malibu, CA
    4.5

If you make it to malibu, stop by the malibu lumber yard (shopping plaza, not an actual lumber yard) for some inexpensive cuban food. The orginial (and still my favorite) lives in NYC, but this california version does not disappoint. Walk around the shops in the lumber yard to see some movie stars.

Malibu Kitchen & Gourmet Country Market

3900 Cross Creek Rd, #3, Malibu, CA 90265

The lines here are VERY long, and do not move quickly. It is worth the wait though - their sandwiches are fantastic (try the pulled pork). They have a separate bakery counter where you pay, which is an excellent marketing strategy since passing up the desserts on display takes some strong willpower. I had a rocky road bar (amazing), but ...

The food at Zooma is fantastic. It is not located in the heart of a touristed area, so the crowd is mostly locals. The fish is extremely fresh, and the presentation is lovely. I have been a couple of times, and will go back again when I am in the area.

Ambiance, quaint, and beautiful are three words to describe this place. Located in Calamigos ranch, off Mulholland Drive and Kanan in Malibu, this hidden gem is a must see.
