This sure is a big mall. There's an amusement park and everything. The Lego sculptures at the Lego store were very awesome. There are some interesting stores like a Peeps store, and also all the chains you can think of.

This is a great place to take your kids! You will need a car, although I believe there are public transportation options. Check out the new train system as it may run here and they are adding to it all the time. There is an indoor Snoopy Theme Park complete with rides. They have an awesome Lego Land, I believe they also have an aquarium! And it is HUGE, so there is something for everyone and it will definitely wear you kids out!

I love the MoA. I've been going for over 20 years, and I go multiple times every year. It's always changing, I find something new every time! There's the Underwater World, Lego Land, the Nickelodeon amusement park (formerly known as Camp Snoopy), right in the center of the mall they have an area where you can look down all of the floors of the mall and see different events they bring in. Sometimes concerts, meet and greets, weddings, all sorts of fun. Just keep up with their main website for all the event updates! Don't forget the multi level food court, mini golf, amazing movie theatre, and more!!! Lots of parking, just snap a picture on your phone of where you parked, because after being in the mall all day, you'll almost always forget! Even if you can't find your car, the mall security will actually help you find your car!
I love love love this Minnesota attraction!

I have been to both the Mall of America and the West Edmonton Mall on several occassions. Both were developed by the same family. I prefer West Ed overall because of the water park, ice rink and other entertainment options that I think are a bit better than Mall of America. I imagine a Minus 40 weekend in Edmonton and with my son staying at the Fantasyland Hotel and spending the weekend in the water park, dining out in nice places, and wandering the mall. Then again, maybe my son and I would drive to Jasper (~4 hours away).
I have always come into this particular mall with an attitude. That attitude is directly related to my great childhood experiences with going to Twins, Vikings, and North Star games in this former Metropolitan Stadium area. And it's all gone, except for a commemorative home plate and bleacher seat in the middle of the amusement park.
Having said that, I enjoy my infrequent (I live in California, but grew up in NW Iowa) trips to the Mall of America. The former "Camp Snoopy" amusement park is just as fun under the new name. Look for the home plate where my beloved Metropolitan Stadium used to be. The stores are interesting, parking is plentiful, the restaurant and entertainment choices are pretty good, people watching is fun and in modest doses it's a great place to spend some time.

GIANT MALL! Don't know how they fit an amusement park in the mall @ all. The stores here are not that great, but all clothes and shoes have no tax!
Definitely THE ONLY PLACE u should visit while ur in Minni cause there's nothing else there.

The Mall of America is a combination mall and amusement park. It's billed as one of the largest malls in North America, second to King of Prussia in the US and somewhere behind the West Edmonton Mall in Canada.
All of that space and size doesn't make it that much better though. You'll find the same mall shops, but duplicated or triplicated in other locations. It could do the same with less space, or do more with the same same.

Huge mall with miles of shopping, restaurants and entertainment all enclosed in one massive structure. People fly and bus into the city just to shop for a day. It is crazy during the holiday seasons but the decorations are beautiful.

I am from Minnesota and I am embarressed that the Mall of America is what we are often most known for. The stores and tacky and touristy. Its so big because there are 2 or 3 different locations of the same store. The only reason to go is that the only location of Nordstrom in Minnesota is here. They are trying to get nicer stores in, but it is not going well. Bloomingdales just closed their location here.

Been there a lot of times and still haven't see everything in there,my favorite spot were the Nickelodeon universe and the Lego center. There are a LOT of shops in there, all featuring various items, inside the mall it's hard to tell day from night unless your in one of those places that shows the sky.IT"S HUGE,you can get lost in there(which might not be a bad thing when you are surrounded by so many shops and cafes and other stuff).
