Our favorite restaurant in the world. The ambiance is wonderful, the food is fantastic, and the view is THE BEST. How good is it? Oprah is a regular when she's in town. We recommend requesting a window view, and book right before sunset. You will have a view you will never forget! Reservations are a must for a view table, and are best made WELL in advance. A warning, though: Bring your checkbook, it is expensive!

Mama's fish house, located between Paia and Ho'okipa, is arguably Maui's best restaurant. Diners can watch the sunset through the tiki torches over Mama's private beach from its open air dining room. The menu is mostly seafood, prepared island style by some of Maui's top chefs. Its an expensive night out, but very romantic and worth the price of admission.

Stunning decor, views, food, everything about Mama's rocks (except maybe the price). Classic old school Hawaii vibe and fresh fish caught by local fisherman daily. Watch out for the Mai Tai's though. They are the best but one will completely rock your world.

beautiful, old tiki feel, situated right next to the beach, open air restaurant. the service was great and the food was delicious, detailed in presentation, flavors were bold and just right. prices are on the high side, but it's a definite must-eat place if you are enjoying your vacation on Maui.

Mama’s Fish House is Hawaiian fine dining at its best! The location is idyllic right on the north shore of Maui. Although we didn’t have reservations, we were able to walk in and get seats at the bar, which is actually a preferred choice of seating for me, especially when with a friend. Mark and Kevin were some of the friendliest bartenders I encountered, and it was much more lively because we got a chance to chat with our neighbors. Expect to pay $$$$, but it’s well worth it. The fish is all caught that morning, and their dishes are incredibly well prepared and delicious. I absolutely loved the opakapaka fish in panang curry and their signature dish, the mac nut crusted mahi mahi stuffed with lobster. Mai Tais were a hefty $16 – good but not the best mai tais on the island. Service is top notch! A beautiful place to celebrate a special occasion.

Mama's is on the other side of the island. Expensive, yes. Go for lunch instead.
Try the relaxer; not on the menu. Very tasty.
We take family and I always go for my birthday. You will not find a more beautiful venue for an evening out. The grounds and the restaurant are just lovely!
