The easiest way to combat Kuala Lumpur heat is to cool off in shopping malls, rehydrate in uber-trendy bars and grab posh nosh at your pick of global restaurants. To rest my weary head, the exquisite Mandarin Oriental is flawless. My sumptuous suite boasts floor-to-ceiling glass views of the Petronas Towers from lounge, and dining room for 10, complete with handpicked art. Meet friends for a late-night swim and drinks before retiring to a designer Orient-themed bedroom.

Fantastic location - be sure to bag a room with a view of the Petronas Towers. Service and ambience are up to MO's established standards yet the rates are often more modest than sister properties in other cities. The pool is particularly lovely, with terrific views of the city.

The MO KL is very conveniently located near the KL convention center. This MO feels more like a business hotel than resort one catering to leisure traveller. Probably due to its location near to business centers. the MO KL is a very nice one to call home while in KL no matter the purpose while in KL.

The place the Mandarin is in is strategic. It's in the center of the business area and near foreign embassy row. The distance to KLCC is less than three minutes. The staff and customer service are excellent & impressive. The swimming pool is stunning. if you want to spend money be a five star stud The Mandarin Oriental is worth for what you're paying for.

The Mandarin Oriental has one of the best pools I've ever seen. It's an infinity edge pool with a view of the city an its parks. The hotel also has one of the best views of the Petronas Twin Towers in the city. The towers are lit up around 7:00 and the view from the 24th-floor lounge is memorable--maybe even better than going up the towers themselves. The lounge at entry level is right at park level and has big windows, so in the day time it's a nice place for tea and little cakes if you're a tea and little cake kind of person. There are lots of Malaysian details in the hotel like live traditional Malay music in the foyer, some use of Malaysian fabrics and antiques in the interior design, Malaysian massage offered in the spa, and finally in the name of tradition, staff wear an array of purely decorative hats.

Best hotel in KL. The rates are usually quite reasonable and this property is stunning. The terrace pool here is gorgeous. A great place to relax at the end of a long day -- or play catch up on missed beach / relaxation time. Very centrally located with nice views of the Petronas Towers. Be sure to ask for a room with a view.

Not sure I really have to stay much ... other than it lives up to luxury that you'd expect from a Mandarin Oriental. From the lobby to the room to the staff ... all impecable.
I walked out from the Mandarin to KL tower and although there are some hills ... it wasn't a far walk at all. I'd definitely stay again!Recommended for:Luxury Travelers
