Beautiful views of the Mediterranean Sea and the foothills surrounding. Although the beaches are not the prettiest sand I've seen in my travels there seems to be a lively scene up and down the beach. Marbella was a great town to have lunch take in a few drinks and within a 45 min walk from Puerta Banus.

Absolutely alive and posh during the summer months - especially by the beach, but it still carries a sleepy, carefree vibe when wandering through the old town. Whitewashed walls, hydrangeas, and orange trees are my favorite characteristics of old town Marbella...and the sun, of course.

Over-the-top town for people watching, as it's favored by celebs, elites and bigwigs from OPEC states in Middle East. Yet it still retains the beauty of a traditional Andalusian coastal town. A small botanical garden on Paseo de la Alameda has some Dali sculptures. Worth checking out.

Many VIPs have a house here, where they spend some holidays. Marbella is really alive and funny, with a very nice historical centre, good restaurants and hotels. There are cool clubs and a very funny movida.

Went to Marbella in the late 70's. It's change a lot since then, but OHHH what a beautiful place to visit. A lot of New Yorkers were living there retiring. We were invited to a house overlooking the Mediterranean Sea and ate Paella, (delicious). View was breath taking.
