By day, this waterfront area is a mall. By night, it's a strip of dance clubs worthy of any college town or spring break destination. It's definitely a tourist trap, and the music ranges from Eurotrash techno to international (read: mostly American) pop hits, but if you're looking for a fun, cheesy place to let loose near Las Ramblas, you couldn't do much better than this.

One of the biggest mall of Barcelona, other than the famous Lille Diagonal, this center offers international boutiques, as well as nice restaurants, cinemas and the aquarium of Barcelona. Didn't have the time to explore it, but passed by it when visiting the aquarium.

Stylish building with modern architecture. The mirror roof was a cool addition to a building that generally doesn't fit into the context of the otherwise old and charming part of town. The inside is somewhat empty and most of the stores are common stores you can find almost anywhere, such as Starbucks, McDonalds or Desigual.
What's outside of this building is way more charming than the inside. There is a very cute harbor with connection to charming and nice restaurants. You can find cute coffee shops, tapas bars and so on.

As part of a much longer walk around the pier and surrounding sights, it's not bad but otherwise it's just a mall. Everyone was enthralled with seeing themselves in the mirrored roof, naturally, but after that it's not so impressive.

This is a mall by the port - not very crowded so it's nice to have some quiet time to do your shopping. Not too big of a mall, but there are a decent amount of shops. Also, the top floor consists mostly of restaurants that overlook the port - beautiful!

Tourists tourists tourists! If you're looking for a true Catalonian/Barcelonan feel then this is NOT the place. After dancing here you'll be swarmed by flower peddlers. I would suggest taking the time to find out where the real discos/bars are. There are quite a few amazing places in this city of revelers. Just don't revel at Maremagnum.

I've been to two Tapa Tapa restaurants in the city this one at the port and the one up in Placa Espanya. I was surprised to find they had very different menus! This location had, in my opinion, some more interesting options but because of its location over looking the sea it was a bit more pricey than the other location. But overall it was a yummy night out with a view of the sea.
