This top-flight place features Michael Hoffman's slightly avant-garde take on classic French cooking, such as stewed shoulder of venison seasoned with coriander, anise and saffron. The spacious interior is lit by glowing columns of honey-hued onyx, which reflect in black marble floors. The restaurant is named for its extraordinary wine list, which includes some 30 vintages of Château Margaux.
