Though the spice selection didn't blow me away here, the selection of teas (and hot cocoa mixes!) did. Cranberry herbal brews, dragon green tea leaves, cinnamon-orange black tisanes - the list is endless. I wasn't the only one staring stupefied at all of the glass bottles up on the wall. If you can't decide, snag a bag of spicy chai.

Awesome spice market with wall to wall spices and tea galore. Their smoked salt is amazing, it's a must try.

If you love fresh tea or fresh spices, this is the place to buy from. With product turning over every 2 to 3 weeks you won't get anything that is stale. I only wish I could get stuff this fresh on Maui.

This is about as close as it gets in the US to the Spice Bazaar of Istanbul. Located behind the fishmongers of Pike Place Market, you might miss this shop if you didn't, oh, say ... read a review on Gogobot. :) With every spice and tea from around the world, this place is a cook or baker's dream. I especially love the apothecary-like spice jars.

You can find some very flavorful teas here. Definitely try a sample of their house special, which has orange, cinnamon and a couple of other spices to add to it. They also have flavored salts. The apple wood smoked salt is amazing. It would go great with steaks, fish, pasta, or just about anything.
