Marriott's standard brand will never give you the pampered experience of a 5 - star hotel. But there is a consistency they strive for at these locations.Thr rooms are clean and comfortable. The service is good. The food is simply okay. Not a bad stay, and always a good return on the cost.Recommended for:

This is a nice property if you plan to stay in Long Beach for a Catalina Island trip, etc. Long Beach has a few attractions, and they are all walking distance from this hotel. I had a nice stay here, and would recommend it to others. A nice, clean hotel with a nice breakfast/brunch.

So I was just here to see my dad and step mom... it was a pretty clean hotel overall with a spacious entry and two on site restaurants (I will get into one of them in another review). Lots of free parking surround this place and they also have a valet if you want one.
From what I can tell they have a lot of larger ballroom events here. My dad and step mom had been down for a HS reunion. There was also some kind of martial arts deal going on here as well with kids from all over the place here.
PRO TIP: While in walking distance to Long Beach Airport, they have a shuttle van to take you back and fourth if you would like.
The rooms here appear to be nice and spacious. However the bathrooms are miniature (at least in some wings). For example the room that my parents had (yes I was in it) had only a standup shower stall and a toilet in it. There was no tub, let alone the shower stall/toilet area was extremely small. Outside of the door for this area was a miniature countered sink. These things were barely large enough to get the job done. Hence the mark down to 3 stars.
There was a maintenance issue with the TV. It had sound but no video. They had an engineer sent up within half an hour and he fixed the TV in about 3 minutes. So that was an important thing.
Overall the rooms appeared to be clean had a couple of chairs, convenient airport access, close to the 405 and free parking.Recommended for:

Close to the airport, but it doesn't feel like an airport hotel. Great ballrooms for events and meetings, a bar with a happening happy hour, a pretty cool pool area, and a relaxing lobby make this a good location for both business travelers and tourists.Recommended for:

I like this Marriott location, it's close to Long Beach Airport and they have a free shuttle to take you to the airport.
They have a Starbucks Coffee kiosk, a bar, a breakfast buffet area and a steak house all in one hotel. The gym area has just been renovated and the pool is always inviting. I just prefer to lounge instead.
An Auto Club office is located next to this hotel so if you are a member and you need a map, it's perfect! I've been here for a business meeting and their meeting rooms are spacious.
Their sports bar offers $1 tacos on Friday night and some light bites like cheese, crackers, veggie wedges with ranch and popcorn.
The service is nice.
The last time I was here, I've seen sports teams, other fellow business travelers and flight staff stay here. It's diverse! There's plenty of parking.
I like this location. If you walk towards the back lot, you can actually watch the planes fly by. Fun!Recommended for:
