Marriott Marina San Diego

By far the most convenient hotel we have stayed in while in San Diego. If you are looking a hotel that is walking distance to Gaslamp, Marriott can be on your list. The hotel is walking distance to Gaslamp (10 minutes) and by the Marina, which you can totally walk around while you are staying at the hotel. At the ...

As they say, "In Hawaii, there are two things of equal importance—food and the aloha spirit." Blending these principles into a delicious food is how Roy's Hawaiian Fusion was born! Steps from PETCO Park, the famous Gaslamp District and the Convention Center, Roy's San Diego Waterfront provides the most extraordinary waterfront views in the city. Their spacious Big Island private ...

    Cafe 222

0.19 mi from Marriott Marina San Diego

Cafe 222 is a good breakfast joint downtown. I've had business breakfasts here and met up with friends to chat over delicious food. They're known for their waffles and pancakes, but I've managed to stay away from those temptations thus far. The egg dishes are delicious, and the coffee is hot and frequently topped off.

This restaurant has a pleasant venue in Seaport Village along the waterfront next to the San Diego Convention Center, near the Manchester Hyatt and the San Diego Marriott. For you locals, shame on you for the poor reviews! You should know better than to come here! Take this for what it is, a tourist spot for conventioneers with expense accounts ...

Think Denny's, but better. Way better. Loved their BLT and early bird breakfast specials (good before 11 am). This is the only place open 24 hrs in downtown SD, hence the name.

Best happy hour in SD! Half off all appetizers and all drinks! The guacamole and chips and the chicken quesadilla is to die for and the margarita is solid. I liked the skinny margarita bc I like my drinks less sweet. Must visit!

I've heard about the hype surrounding this place and its mouth watering menu of donuts (they rotate their selection throughout the week). So far, I've tried the following: maple bacon, triple chocolate threat, pb & j, salted caramel, chocolate espresso, and snickers, just to name a few. I'm sure I missed some. Anyway, all of them were delish. I have ...

I've heard from several SD natives about Lolita's having some of the best carne asada fries. Finally got to try it for myself this past summer. Yep, it definitely rates near the top of my list for this local delicacy. I'll have to come back again for another round, and probably bring company. Their portion sizes are pretty big.

I had come across this truck during a past visit to SD, but unfortunately didn't get to check them out. Redemption was served hot the next time I saw them. Wow, I'm SO happy we wandered over here during a Comic-Con lunch! I've been sad that Yogurtland discontinued their Dragon Passion Fruit Tart but Sweet Things has a flavor that's VERY similar to it- Pomegranate Raspberry Tart! So amazing. I had 2 bowls in 1 day :D With almonds. Their fresh brownies are very tantalizing too and they'll keep on ...

I've eaten at budget friendly sushi joints before, but this by far takes the cake. A wait is always expected with this location since it's next to Horton Plaza. I had plenty of time to stare at the menu. With so many NOM-worthy choices, I had to do double, even triple takes at it because of the insanely good prices ...

Their Little Italy with chicken breast was incredibly yummy. Combined with fresh mozzarella, pesto and balsamic marinated tomato on grilled bread, this was perfect for my pre-drinking appetite. For the side, I passed on the fries and slaw and chose their malt kettle chips instead. No regrets with those. We could have stuck around since there was a DJ playing, ...

One of SD's most popular pizza kitchens and bars! They're open very late, so sometimes we drop by while club/bar hopping around downtown. I know they also hold art shows that feature local artists, as a cousin and a friend of mine both displayed their work here. Very cool!

All right. So I made a return visit and had a Nutella and strawberry crepe. So weird how they don't have it on their menu, but just ask and they'll make one for you. Still had a generous amount of Nutella. But you know what? It was good. That's all that really matters, right? The server even told me,"Good job!" ...
