As others have noted, please realize that this is a timeshare facility and not a Hotel! Consequently we have many differences at this place versus a hotel; maid service is on a paid basis, you have a kitchen that you need to clean the dishes in, beach towels are something that you need to launder or reuse on your own from the set supply that you are provided, etc.
The grounds here were very nice. There was lots of lush and beautiful flora and fauna. A small childrens jungle gym (that I wish was slightly larger with monkey bars at least), several BBQ areas with lights for each BBQ grill (almost no bbq style utensils so BBQ at your own risk), a couple of jaccuzzi's, a great toddlers pool on the bluff overlooking the ocean, a picturesque adult pool slightly inset into the property, and a private beach area (beware the rocks in the water as they will rip your feet to shreds without aqua shoes).
There is a great childrens playground at the public beach near the property, awesome tidal pools surrounding it, and it is within walking distance to a couple of tourist traps/shopping centers.
You really need a car here. However they have plenty of open and covered parking depending on what part of the property you are at.
The fitness center is nice but not well cleaned IMHO. Also an extra fan or turning the AC up a notch or two could be a huge improvement. But plenty of machines and free weights and it was never crowded while I was working out in there.
The food is expensive onsite but there are slightly and much cheaper options not to far away.
Do yourself a major favor though and hit costco right after you land before making the drive down to Poipu.Recommended for:

I stayed here for a week and had a really nice stay. The resort grounds are nice, the food passed, and the beach was amazing. The Ritz in Princeville provides and entirely different experience, but if you want to enjoy Poipu beach on a daily basis, this is a great place to stay.

This is a really nice public beach in front of the Marriott. Great sand for sunbathing. Good for snorkeling, swimming or SUP in the middle, with surf breaks at the right (waiohai) and left (left-lefts). We provide all snorkeling gear including
masks, snorkels, fins, beach towels.Recommended for:

Great Timeshare Resort hotel. The Honu Bar on the ocean side is open to the public and a great spot to check out the sunset and have a cold refreshment at the end of the day! Easy walk from the condo. Also, Beach Boys surf and paddle board rental located here too! Aloha,Recommended for:

This is a great hotel right on the Poipu Beach! The set up outside towards the beach is nice. There is a bar outdoor right on the beach with TV's for those sports fanatics! There are also showers outside if you need to rinse off! They have all the amenities. The rooms are nice and comfy! Overall, a great location and view! I would stay here again!
