    Laguna de Apoyo is a lake in the bottom of a volcano crater. This is Nicaragua's cleanest place to swim. There are a few quiet guesthouses along the shore, but not much else. Beautiful place to swim and relax for a few days.

    This visitor's center provides a moderately interesting overview of the volcano and the nearby flora and fauna. The exhibits have not aged well but there is interesting info if you spend the time to read and overlook the simplicity and dirt.
