    Marliave

    6 reviews

Marliave is a great little place in downtown Boston (close to Park Street and Downtown Crossing stops) which has dollar oysters every day from 4-6 and 9-10 pm. In addition, they have an inventive cocktail list. Their regular menu looks fine, but honestly I always go for the oysters. The whole place is infused with a Prohibition-y retro feeling.

    Giacomo's Restaurant

    11 reviews

Small place but arguably one of the most popular at North End. There is almost always a wait outside the tiny door, the interior is crowded but customers get to be up and close with the kitchen staff and see how the chefs operate. The waiters yells out your order to the kitchen, quite a sight and experience. The food ...

    Maria's Pastry Shop

    4 reviews

Just a turn from the packed mikes bakery, but not already pre filled cannolis and just as good. If you're not down to wait in line at mikes, walk a block and get a cannoli from Maria's instead.

    Anna's Taqueria

    6 reviews

YUMMM! I miss this place so much! The burritos are AWESOME and so filling yet feel healthy due to the fresh veggies they use. I am a vegetarian, and often veggie burritos seem lacking (like they're missing an ingredient). At Anna's, they use completely fresh veggies which they chop right in front of you for your burrito. They have vegetarian ...

    SoulFire

    5 reviews

If you love BBQ, just a straight up delicious meal, or a good deal, Soulfire is the place for you. By far the best ribs and fried chicken you can get up here in the north. You can get a huge platter of a meat, two sides, and a moist block of cornbread for just $15. I cannot say enough ...

    Ernesto's Pizza

    2 reviews

Ernesto's is a great local favorite where you can get unique combinations with a paupers paycheck. While the "$5 a slice" price tag may seem like a stretch to be considered a bargain meal, you actually you get two large slices (a quarter of a pie equivalent). A complete steal if you ask me, but worthless if it tastes like ...

    Galleria Umberto

    2 reviews

Yes, the lines are long. And yes, the ambiance is less than impressive. But the cuisine at Galleria Umberto is oh-so-delicious and so incredibly cheap! I will also admit that I'm usually a crispy, thin-crust kind of gal, but it didn't take long for me to fall in love with the Sicilian style, thick, chewy dough smothered in sauce and ...
