    Boston Harbor Islands National Park

    4 reviews

I'm a sucker for two things when traveling: Ferry boats and national parks. I can trace both of these loves back to my Seattle days, but the love affair endures. Boston Harbor Islands National Park lives up to my very high expectations of both. A quick ferry from downtown Boston transports your to plenty of green space, historic battlefields, and ...

    Newbury Street

    50 reviews

Newbury Street is Boston's bullseye for shopping. Whether on the strip itself or on the surrounding blocks, you're sure to find nearly every big name in casual or luxury retail nestled in around Newbury. Salons, galleries, cafes and restaurants fill in the gaps between boutiques. If you're looking for a place to be fancy for the afternoon, look no further.

I've been a fan of Miss Destiny's since I was 17 years old, sneaking into clubs in Boston. These days, Beantown's most glamorous drag superstar can be found holding court and owning the stage at Machine on Imperio nights. And Machine is no slouch itself, either! Check your baggage at the door, grab a cocktail, and hit the floor.

    State Park

    2 reviews

State Park is essentially a summer camp for adult's in the middle of Cambridge, complete with pinball machines and shuffleboard. It's a great place to spend an hour goofing off over drinks, but I wouldn't come on an empty stomach, as the menu is a little light and tends to skew a bit too far toward nostalgia.

    Dolphin Fleet Whalewatching

    19 reviews

We highly recommend taking a whale watching tour (our favorite is the late afternoon sunset tour) out of Provincetown. The Dolphin Fleet is renowned for their expertise, they have naturalists on board whose knowledge of the ocean and it's inhabitants will leave you well informed and entertained. The sight of the whales breaching and swimming alongside the ship will provide ...

    Lulu Chow Wang Campus Center

    1 review

The architects of this funky building seem to have endeavored to build this structure without using a single right angle! The walls jut out at strange angles, giving each room a slightly drunken feel - perfect for a college campus! At least the floors are level. In addition to the typical lounges and meeting rooms and student mail center, there ...

    Cambridgeside Galleria

    6 reviews

Confession, I spent my 17th summer on the planet working at the Abercrombie & Fitch at the Cambridgeside Galleria. The glamour of it all! As far as malls go, this one is still pretty bearable to visit as an adult. Make no mistake though, this place is to be avoided at all costs on a weekend night. But you're old ...

    Harvard University

    47 reviews

People really like looking around Harvard and it is a pretty campus. It's technically not an open campus so you get to feel like a rule-breaker. (Along with the other hundreds of tourists.)

    Boston Common

My favorite park!!!! Best to go when you have some time to relax on a nice day. Heard it was one of the oldest park in the US. Gorgeous trees and lots of tulips. Squirrels are everywhere and we saw a swan sitting on her nest. Make sure to stop by the thinking cup coffee shop (stumpton coffee) before hand. ...

Tourists seem to really like looking around Harvard Yard. It is nice and it probably annoys Harvard, so that's fun.

    Head Of The Charles Regatta

It's a boat race. A big boat race. If you like boat races, you'll like this. If you like walking by the river and having lots of booths to go through, you'll probably like that part too.

Home to some of the smartest kids in the world - what's there to say? Been here before because my sister is the smart cookie that attended, 2011 graduate. Walk around campus and enjoy the unique architecture.

The Great Food Court of Boston. Great if you're traveling in a group that can't agree on food. Less great if you hope to seat that group easily inside.
