Come to Matt's before walking through the market, that way you won't ruin your appetite. The food here is fantastic! With all the fresh ingredients literally right outside their door, you know that everything is going to be delicious. Their lamb burger is to die for, as is their pork belly banh mi. Service is very friendly and accommodating, which is nice to see in such a busy hotspot like this. Try to get a table by the window for a nice view of the water. Make reservations as the place is not that big and it's really popular for both lunch and dinner.Recommended for:Foodies

Right in the middle of Pike Place Market on the second floor. You can peek at the hustle and bustle in the market from the window during lunch, whereas you will be dining under the market neon light at dinner. The menu changes often with the season and you can be confident that you are enjoying the freshest of seafood here. They serve simple and delicious food here. Though they are known for their seafood, if you are in the mood for meat, their lamb burger is to die for. I crave it!

I remember Matt's before it remodeled. It certainly has lost a lot of that charm from those days, but the new restaurant is thriving regardless.
I've always found the staff here to be really nice. This was the first time I tried Lillet courtesy of the bartender and I haven't looked back since.
Matt's uses lots of fresh ingredients (most likely found right there in the market). It's a little on the expensive side, but I suspect some of that has to do with it's location right in the market.
Really good northwest food. Many American dishes infused with local flavors. My absolute favorite here is the pork belly Banh Mi. OMG. Most expensive Banh Mi ever. And also soooo good. Soooo not healthy either, but soooo good. *drool*
I also enjoy the lamb burger here as well. But I only order that when the Banh Mi isn't available or when somebody is already ordering it. Cuz the Banh Mi is where it's at for me.
