Ok, so here's the deal. This restaurant has great ambience. The thing is for the amount you pay per entree (30ish) the food should really all come out at the same time and they should go a little easy on the salt. I would also expect a little more generosity on the bread. Also, to end on a genuine positive note, the dessert is incredible. Hazelnut cake and peppermint ice cream sandwich is delicious.

Matyson is known for its weekly tasting menu featuring seasonal local produce. The star of the menu during our last visit was Okra (much underappreciated vegetable, as they labeled it). I like okra and was excited about the menu. Even if you don’t like it, you may be pleasantly surprised to discover that anything, masterfully prepared, may taste delicious. But no worries, there is a regular menu with plenty of dishes to choose from. It’s a bit pricey but being a BYOB restaurant, you can compensate by bringing your own wine. Reservations are recommended – Matyson is popular and often fully booked.
