Maui Beach Hotel looks great from the outside, lovely courtyard and cabana that leads right onto the beach. The rooms are older and standard, the bathroom stand-up shower is small, the sink area has good counter space. They don't have little toiletries offered, but do have liquid soap mounted to the walls. There's a mini fridge, tv, and a/c. Free wifi only in the lobby, and the rooms have wired LAN connection. Decent room and nice courtyard view. Staff can be helpful if you ask but don't expect them to insist nor offer to help take your bags to your room.Recommended for:

Maui Beach Hotel is in the heart of Kahului, right on Kahului harbor just 10 minutes form Kahului Airport. It is relatively small with only 147 rooms, which start at $110 per night for a “Standard Room”, or $120 including the breakfast buffet.
While not fancy it is very central, clean and comfortable, with free Wi-Fi in the lobby (charge for in the room) which is nice for checking e-mail and Face Book, which I like. The Rainbow Terrace Dining room offers a buffet breakfast and dinner, and is quite nice and reasonably priced. There is also a swimming pool and a gym and massage available.
The convenience to shopping and the airport and the relatively low price are good selling points for this hotel. If you wish to spend your travel budget out dinning and having a good time, rather than on the hotel room, check this place out. If you prefer to lounge in the lap of luxury in your resort this isn’t the right place. Also, smoking is permitted in all the rooms, so that is something you may wish to consider.
