A great place to stay if you want to be in the heart of everything. Walk to Pike Place Market within a few blocks, and enjoy all of the dining and entertainment that downtown has to offer. Plenty of activities are nearby, and the tours pickup here as well. The rooms are very nice, and the service is excellent.

This hotel is one of Seattle’s finest luxury properties in downtown Seattle. There are 160 units, including 29 spacious suites, which come with flat-screen TVs, deep bathtubs, classic artwork, safes, luxury robes and complimentary Wi-Fi. While the property is popular with high-end and corporate travelers, and those who appreciate its proximity to the monorail. Built in 1927, the classic hotel has beenrestored with crystal chandeliers, gleaming brass and period antiques.Recommended for:

Great hotel that not many folks know about.
It's closer to the action than the Sheraton or Westin. You are basically connected to Westlake Center.
The bar in the hotel is a hidden happy hour gem for locals that work nearby.

Such a gorgeous hotel! I’m not sure if they provide an airport shuttle, but if you’re flying in you can take the Light Rail – it’s very cheap and takes you just a few blocks from the Mayflower, and you bypass all that annoying traffic. Everyone I encountered at the hotel was very professional and courteous.
Please have at least one meal at Andaluca if you stay here. They do tapas style dishes, so you can try lots of different things (accompanied with lots of different wines, of course!). The mussels are incredible, and I consider myself a shellfish expert. The cocktails are also really interesting. Oh, and try the breakfast if you can – ratatouille omelets, brioche French toast, banana pancakes…I want to keep coming back to the Mayflower just to try all the dishes on the menu at their restaurant.

This might sound cheesy, but walking into the Mayflower made me feel like I was walking onto an old-fashioned movie set. It’s just so elegant, from the chandelier to the beautiful staircase. As is typical with historic hotels, especially those downtown, the rooms are a bit small, but they’re very comfortable and the bathroom was very nice.
Wifi is free and works perfectly - always a plus! And the location is the best, I couldn’t have been more centrally located. Westlake Center is just down the street, Pike Place Market and the waterfront are a few blocks away, and you can take the monorail to the Space Needle (or walk - maybe about 15 minutes, not bad at all). Every single staff member I spoke with was extremely friendly and helpful. Try to get a room on one of the higher floors, just to get that great city view!
