    Melbourne Cricket Ground

Brunton Avenue, Melbourne, VIC 3002 Australia
    4.5
    33 reviews

The Melbourne Cricket Ground (locals call it the MCG) is a popular stadium to watch cricket games and Australia Rules Football. The spectators will wear scarves and caps to represent their loyalty to a specific team. I'm not a sports person, but I enjoyed the liveliness and had fun watching the football games.

    Melbourne Zoo

    Elliott Avenue, Parkville VIC, Australia

Koalas are not overrated. Kangeroos might be especially in the daytime. They are nocturnal animals so they are not that active. The zoo workers do get into the pens and show the animals to visitors.

    Federation Square

    Swanston Street, Melbourne VIC, Australia
    4
    17 reviews

Located right in the center of town near multiple transportation line, Federation Square is perhaps the main square of Melbourne. Since we were not able to get tickets for the French Open, we were able to watch some of the matches...for FREE...live on the big screen set up outside. We are satisfied enough with this arrangement.

this was the first of the four Luna Parks that were built in Australia, of which only Melbourne and Luna Park Sydney are still operating. The other two, now defunct, Luna Parks were at Glenelg in South Australia (1930–1934) and at Redcliffe in Queensland (1944–1966). The St Kilda park was developed by American showman J D Williams,[1] in company with ...

    Melbourne Museum

11 Nicholson Street, Melbourne, VIC 3053 Australia
    4
    13 reviews

The Melbourne Museum should really be called 'Melbourne's Natural History Museum'. It succeeds reasonably well at being full of taxidermied Australian animals and architecturally interesting - not something you can say about a lot of museums. Beyond this, there isn't much there. If you're come from abroad, leave this museum for the locals. There's no reason to travel across two ...

I love driving along the Great Ocean Road, so many beautiful spots to pull over and admire the scenery, lots of small coastal towns to stop in for lunch and a swim in the beach. A must see when in Melbourne.

I'm a bit meh on Chapel Street. I don't believe it is worth a trip out there, only if you are staying nearby. There are a handful of boutiques you won't find elsewhere but mostly it is the same chain stores you can find anywhere. Parts of the retail strip have gone quite downhill in recent years. As for food ...

Beautiful place! See it during different times of the day. During the day you'll be able to look at the architecture and go inside to have a look. At night it kinda glows against the dark background of trees and night. At night you'll also better the flame.
