Melia is cheaper than some of the other hotels in the area, but in a good location. It's clean. The lounge has big windows and looks out onto a big street with lots of people passing, so it's kind of an interesting place to sit, and in the evening there's a piano player. Front desk staff seem nice. In The Bukit Bintang area visitors tend to go out at night, so there might not be much of a need to stay anywhere too luxurious because you don't really spend that much time in the room, so in that case Melia is not a budget hotel, but it is cheaper than the ones right in the area, so it's a fine choice. There are nice restaurants inside, but with so many hawkers in the area, nice restaurants aren't really necessary.

I stayed here once; It's a good value for your money. The swimming pool has a good view facing the city. Melia is ideally located in the Kuala Lumpur's Golden Triangle, which is heaven for food and night life. Also, there's easy, friendly transportation (monorail, taxi and buses.) The hotel is great, staff are hospitable, and there's 24-hours room service. The concierge can answer any questions. Melia Kuala Lumpur is nearby to everything like Low Yat Plaza, other malls, and the Hawkers' food area and other hotels. This is where I would stay.

This place is has a bustling entrance as there is a lot of human traffic along the road at this place. It is actually located near to Low Yat Plaza and Berjaya Times Square which is at the heart of the city. The lobby is quite small and it seems like as though there is no privacy as you enter as there is a lot of people walking in and out because of the bar at the side of this hotel has one of the best view around the area as you can actually see people walking in and out of the city around this place. The swimming pool looks like several round shaped attached together which is not uncommon. The room is just like any other hotel rooms which you would have expected. There is also a gymnasium for patrons to use. The views of the rooms are really boring because all you can see is Times Square and also the monorail out of your window. This place actually is a haven for shopaholics because all around the place are shopping malls.

This hotel was a bit older but was less expensive than others in the area. Was nice and central, across the road from Times Square Hotel and Convention Centre (which is also a shopping centre) and a short walk to other larger, newer shopping centres!
