What an eye opener! The Mercado de los Mariscos (Panama City's Seafood Market) was built and established in collaboration with Japan and was modeled after the Tsukiji Market in Japan. The freshest (tastiest anyway) cerviche of MANY DIFFERENT types of seafood can be sampled here. Do come early to see the action since the market start to shut down in early afternoon.

Very cool way to see locals. If you go early in the morning, you get to see them getting the fish ready to sell. Pro tip: get ceviche! It costs between $1-$2 and it's DELICIOUS. Also, it's a short walk from here to Casco Viejo!
