Great history and architecture built from Mayan pyramids. Located in the Central Plaza. A terrific spot to hang out anytime and best on the weekends when streets are closed to traffic for pedestrians.

The City of Merida is wonderful and a must see when you go to the Yucatan. It's the Capital City and has SO much to offer. This cathedral is the oldest in North America.

    30 mins from the house.

The biggest Cathedral in all Latin America, a enormous colonial style construction surrounded by also colonial buildings, downtown Merida its a great place to walk around and enjoy food, night shows, theater, outdoor shows and a bunch of things to do there. for sure I suggest more than one night around to spend here that you will love.
