    El Fogon

    12 reviews

This is our favorite restaurant in Playa - eat with the locals! The bean soup is wonderful and we always get tacos al pastor and arracherra. You won't be sorry you visited this casual spot.

Another of our "must dos" when in Playa. Outstanding breakfast (love the crepes). The building is very unique as well - nice outdoor atmosphere.

    Yaxche

    9 reviews

Our favorite fine dining in Playa. Yaxche is home to great service and wonderful Mayan food. Fish, steak, chicken and more are served up in traditional recipes from the Yucatan...and have an "Absolut Maya" while you're pondering the menu.

    Restaurante Justicia Social

    2 reviews

Service was a little gruff, which was a surprising and almost welcome change from the overly attentive meals we've had before. The food could not be fresher though! It was recommended by our local dive guide and he was spot on! The seafood is excellent and the prices are good too.

    Olivia

Not only is the decor a stunning piece of artwork, but so is the food. They have a lot of Turkish, Moroccan and Greek entree's that are cooked to the point, they melt in your mouth. I would recommend making a reservation because they can get really packed, especially if you want outdoor seating. I would also recommend the Spanacopita ...

Despite being in every tourist guide book this place has managed to preserve much of its character and the interior is a marvel in its own right. Come here for yummy churros which you dip in sticky chocolate,

    Tacos Gardenias

    5 reviews

Make sure to order the Caesar salad...but add grilled shrimp to it...it's not on the menu! It's huge...but you can't keep yourself from making a "sunshine plate". It's that good. Just a local hang-out...so don't expect flare and such. It's clean...it has great margaritas...and very, very good ceviche. Family run. Right downtown.

    Puerto Nuevo

    5 reviews

A short drive south from Rosarito Beach, this small town is known for lobster and fresh seafood. There are many restaurants and the locals are very dependent on tourism and will try their best to earn your business. There is a "fancier" restaurant located in the southwestern corner of the town-square that overlooks the water (indoor and outdoor seating available). ...

    Villa Ortega

This place is a great restaurant and I highly recommend it! Once you make your way through the shops and markets in the southwest corner, you'll find Villa Ortega's. They have their own secured parking lot. The restaurant is huge with a lot of indoor and outdoor seating that can accommodate large parties. The ceviche and lobsters are fresh and ...

You'll be RIGHT on the beach (Medano) to watch the surf, jump a water taxi to Lovers' Beach and fend off the vendors. Take off your flip flops and dig your toes into the sand while enjoying plantain pancakes, a pineapple bowl of fresh papaya and strawberries, and a Bloody Horse (Bloody Mary w/Horseradish. This is desayuno faire (breakfast)...my personal ...
