    Playa de los Muertos

El Centro, Puerto Vallarta, JAL 48380 Mexico
    4.5
    19 reviews

Great little hidden beach. You have to walk through a bit of jungle to get there, but you get to walk past a sweet old cemetary (de los muertos). Once you get there, you can climb big rocks and see blue footed boobies. A nice get-away from the get-away.

Basílica de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe

Plaza de las Americas, Mexico City, MEX 54092 Mexico
    4
    19 reviews

This basilica sits on one of the most revered sites in the country--the place where the vision of the Virgen de Guadalupe, Mexico's patron saint, is said to have been first seen. The basilica itself isn't particularly notable but seeing the thousands of pilgrims who make their way here--many on their knees from miles away--is a moving experience. If you ...

Beautiful, historic XVI century Coyoacan is where Spanish conquistadors established their first settlement in what used to be the Aztec's Great Tenochtitlan. Hidden Worlds Cenotes Park

    Highway 307, Tulum C.P. 77780

    12 reviews

This park is a great intro to the underwater world of cenotes--an underground river system with caves flooded with cool and crystal clear water. Guided snorkeling and diving tours are offered throughout the day. Floating past huge stalagmites and stalactites and eyeless fish is an eerie, beautiful and unforgettable experience--I loved it. This park also was featured in a National ...

Only Airport nearby. Taxis from here can get expensive. If you didn't prebook a shuttle, you can always walk outside of the airport to your right for about a mile until you reach the mall where Comercial Mexicana is at. If you don't have a lot of luggage it's a great way to save money. Taxis right outside parking lot.

    18 reviews

This is the main beach in Cabo and a short walk from the downtown shopping areas and marina. Lots of people trying to sell random things, but it's a really pretty beach with nice sand and clear water. There are roped off areas safe for swimming, as water taxis and jet skis are riding around all day. There are also ...

    Los Cabos International Airport

Carretera Transpeninsular KM. 43.5, Aeropuerto, San José del Cabo, Baja California Sur, Mexico
    4.5
    17 reviews

A very nice airport, indeed. Just be careful once you are outside of customs because there are a lot of people trying to get your attention and take you to your destination. I recommend ignoring all of them, except for the company you made prior arrangements with or via the travel information desk that is located inside of the airport.

    Cenotes Kukulkan and Chac Mool

    4.5
    15 reviews

There are several cenotes (limestone sinkholes filled with fresh water) scattered around the Yucatan, but these two, just outside of Tulum, are some of the most impressive. Swim, snorkel, or scuba dive through the bizarre underground waterways. The contrast between the calm scene at the surface and the twisting stalagmites below is impressive, to say the least. You'll see why ...

This is an amazing sight, and a must-see in Acapulco. These professional high-cliff divers (generational) train and climb very steep cliffs before plunging to the rocky ocean underneath. The depth of water in the "Gulch" can vary from 6 to 16 feet depending on the waves, with an average depth of 12 feet. Timing is crucial for the divers. There ...

Monte Alban is a peaceful little bit of heaven overlooking Oaxaca (and being that it is relatively close to the sun and without shade, it is hot, so be prepared with a hat and/or lots of sunscreen). This was one of the earliest cities in Mesoamerica dating back to around 500 BC so there is no shortage of really interesting ...
