Don't mind the prostitutes and pimps trolling down Washington Avenue or the smell of urine and floral bleach (as if that could help with the smell). When you step into the Cinematheque you won't believe you're in Miami beach, let alone Washington Ave. Housed in a historic building dating back to 1927, what used to be the old city hall is now one of the best art film houses in the city. Get there early and browse the bookstore and gallery before you watch an obscure foreign film with subtitles. You'll feel smart and cool as soon as you step into the building, guaranteed.Recommended for:
