Mi Casa is by the embassies and banks, so it's geared toward long-term stays for ex-pats. At first I wasn't so sure about the location because you have to cross over a sky bridge to get over a really busy street in order to get to most things in the area, but once I was inside the hotel, near the pool with a little garden area and water feature, I found I could hardly hear the traffic outside. There's also a shuttle bus that does drop offs in the morning around the city, so that seems convenient. The rooms overlooking the pool are really nice, private, and livable. With full sized kitchens, not walk through kitchens like in most serviced apartments in the city, MiCasa is a good option for families living in Kuala Lumpur for a while. It's also by the international schools, there's a tennis court for kids to mess around on, and the front desk is not excessively fussy. Although I wouldn't mind staying here short term, it does have a real serviced apartment feel. The area near the embassies is a bit residential and late at night when we wanted to go to a 24-hour Mamak cafe, (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mamak_stall) we had to cross over the pedestrian bridge and walk about 10-15 to get to one. It was a really big, good one though.

This place is located at the worst nightmare for people who want to avoid the traffic jam in Kuala Lumpur. They have ample parking space for the guests. As you walk into the entrance nobody will acknowledge you as there is very few staff there at the lobby. This hotel has a very easy going kind of feeling which makes you feel like you’re at your own home. The place might seem a little old but the vibe of the swimming pool and the surroundings of big trees of walking right away from the busy traffic jam just by the main road soothe your mind and really relaxed you. There is a small deli, launderette where you can do your own laundry, pub, restaurant with one of the most impressive underground compartment which is really unique and the good soothing scent from the underground compartment is really exotic. It actually makes me want to hang out there although there is nobody there. The rooms and the numbering of the rooms are really one of a kind, with a huge kitchen attached to the rooms. The rooms are really nice and comfortable. The rooms might not have an impressive view but it’s facing at the location of the trees which might be good enough. Amazingly there is no noise pollution at all in the rooms from the busy road just by the side of this hotel.
