They’re really not kidding with the Micro name – the room I visited was pretty small compared to many other hotel rooms in the area; I’d even argue that it’s likely too small for more than a couple of people. A family would be pretty cramped.
I always appreciate hotels that embrace a bit of homey decor, and this Microtel really nails that look. It’s got that bed and breakfast design, and it feels a lot more welcoming to me than other generic designed hotels. It’s easy to get to, right off of I-85.
Here’s something that’s interesting about this hotel: it’s located literally right across the street from Atlanta’s famous Pink Pony gentleman’s club, for better or worse. I’d keep that in mind before I booked it.Recommended for:

I visited this Microtel on a weekend afternoon. It's a rather small property. They are currently renovating the rooms on the third floor. This location does not have a pool or a fitness center and the room size is relatively small. This is a good option for students, budget travelers or anyone coming in town for a weekend stay. The staff here was very friendly and helpful.Recommended for:

Ok, for starters the hotel is across the street from the Pink Pony (strip club). So definitely not the nicest part of town—but also not the worst. The lobby smelled faintly of smoke when I walked in. However the room was fine—it had a big island with a microwave and a dishwasher inside—kind of a strange combination of kitchen appliances, but hey it works. There was also a comfortable sitting area and a surprising amount of natural light in the room. It was much bigger than I had expected. No pool or gym, and very few area attractions within walking distance (minus the aforementioned establishment). I would not go out at night in the area. However, it is close to Buckhead by car—probably about 15 minutes. If you simply need a place to lay your head at night for a low price, go for it.Recommended for:

Stayed only two days at this hotel and have to say that I liked it. The rate is reasonable and the room is clean and has everything you need: good shower, internet connection included on the rate, tv, air conditioning, etc. The breakfast is also included and is good.
The surrounding areas are not that good so don't try walking around, specially at night.
