Cookies and ice cream: Good. Macarons and ice cream: Better!!
Getting an ice cream sandwich from Milk is quite an ordeal. First, you must look for parking, of which there are none. The neighborhood is permit only and there are very limited metered spots. I circled for almost 15 minutes before luckily finding a spot. It took my friend quite a bit longer to find hers.
You then proceed to stand in a giant line out on the street, regardless of the weather conditions. It was freezing when I went and slightly sprinkling and the wait was still absurd. I can't imagine the insanity of a line you have to wait in on a hot day.
Once you finally get inside the door, you continue to wait in line. You can actually ask for samples while you're in line if you want to try a particular flavor. They don't always have all the ice cream flavors available even if they have sandwiches in those particular flavors already made.
We ended up getting a mini red velvet cupcake and ice cream sandwiches in grasshopper and jasmine flavors. I really enjoyed the jasmine. The grasshopper was not as good. I really liked the texture of the macarons and I felt that it went perfectly with the ice cream.
I didn't enjoy the red velvet cupcake. It was left out too long and all the edges were really dry. The frosting was also too sweet.

This is the first food place I've been to with over 2000 reviews. I guess mine won't be able needed much, so let me go through it quick.
Red Velvet Ice-Creme Sandwich - the cookies are amazing, perfectly sweet and just simply amazing. The ice-creme inside, not sure what kinda ice-creme it is at all. As for the white chocolate that covers on the outside... not my style, way too sweet.
Coffee Toffee Ice-Creme Sandwich - the cookies are so toffee and delicious, the ice-creme is coffee ice-creme, which taste like coffee... yum yum... but the chocolate chip inside the ice-creme is not my taste.
Tip: Even though they say you can make your own ice-creme sandwich, you actually can't really make your own.

I'm in love with their macaron ice cream sandwich! All of their sweets are cute and unique :) Their hand made ice cream is fantastic.
I got the Grasshopper macaron ice cream sandwich (mint chocolate chip ice cream sandwich 1/2 dipped in chocolate).
Tip: bring friends and get different sweets and share!

This is a great place to grab dessert if you're near the Grove. I love their ice cream sandwiches, especially the grasshopper (mint ice cream between two macarons, with half of it dipped in chocolate). The ice cream bars are pretty good too.

Stopped by here on the way home. Sis & I shared a slice of Blue Velvet Cake & a Watermelon Macaron Ice Cream Sandwich.
The Blue Velvet Cake is definitely something totally different cause I don't think there is any place in the bay area that makes that so that's definitely unique! There's blueberries in the cake which I loved. Although I was kinda skeptical of the color..Holy crap a blue cake?!?! You know it's just food coloring, but we just had to try it since my sis loves red velvet cake & her fave color is blue. Thought it would be fitting.
Then the Watermelon Macaron Ice Cream Sandwich was not too sweet & refreshing. Tasted like a watermelon almost. I was hoping to get a Vanilla Blueberry Swirl Macaron Ice Cream Sandwich because I saw it in the pictures on Yelp, but they didn't have it that day. Hopefully, next time. :)
Parking is fairly easy since they have their own little parking area behind the gas station that's across from them, but the ground was kinda not smooth. I did street parking since I saw the sign for Milk Parking after I parked my car.

$5 for a big ice cream macaron. I loved my salted caramel one, it was too sweet for some of my friends but it was perfect. I loved the texture of the macaron, and ice cream with every bite is just brilliant. It's a cute cafe where people go and have lunch or hang out. They had ice cream bars too, but if it's your first time, definitely go with one of the ice cream macarons. It's amazing.

My favorite thing at Milk is there Tres Leche Cake! They have the best Tres Leche Cake ever! They also have good milkshakes and cookies.
I'm not really into anything else I've tried at milk. A lot of their products use use so much artificial flavors and dye that it stains your hands. I really dislike the blue velvet cake. I think it's GROSS. It tastes chemically flavored and turns your poop green with even just one bite! I'm afraid you could get colon cancer from it and don't recommend it. I had one of their ice cream sandwiches and it was not so good, either. I had one with banana ice cream and it tasted like Runts candy. Too sweet and very artificial.

I love MILK. My favorite is the salted caramel ice cream sandwich. The cookie is a macaron which is very unique but makes for a great combination. It's $5 bought I'd pay it again and again!
They also have a strawberry shortcake ice cream bar which was also delicious. Other than ice cream, they have pastries, cookies, red velvet cake and also food. Milk is on the pricier side but it doesn't stop the customers from flowing in.

It's okay, a bit costly for what you pay for. Get the blue velvet cake! Although, if you're coming by here late at night, and you do order some kind of cake... wait for it to thaw. It's been sitting in the fridge all day, and will need some temperature to get back it's supple, moist consistency. The macaroon ice cream sandwiches aren't half bad either.
