    Ciclavia

0.22 mi from Millennium Biltmore Hotel Los Angeles
    2 reviews

Ciclavia is a day when designated streets are close for people to bike/walk around and celebrate being outdoors in an urban environment. It brings people together and promotes walking and biking. What's not to love about that? My favorite part is discovering places (by foot/bike) that you never noticed before because you've always sped past it in your car.

The tallest building of the West Mississippi. One of the most memorable fourth of July I experienced was on the 71st floor. I got to see a 360 view of Los Angeles when there were fireworks!!!! This was the first time they opened it up for this kind of event. $22, they only sold 500 tickets. The fee included the ...

Awesome venue in the middle of Downtown LA! They've got great, free performances that everyone should take advantage of during summer. It's a nice place to walk around and socialize and you have a view of Los Angeles from the top! The sound of the performance is great and the water around the stage is really pretty. They have a ...

I was taken here my first day in LA as a 'very LA place to go' as well as a place to relax. It was in the afternoon but there were a good number of people there. The view was amazing and the decorations were really cool - it felt so trendy. I didn't get into a waterbed pod but ...

I love this library because it work's both as a destination to visit and also as an actual library. The building is huge, with eight total floors--four above ground and four below. It's got nothing on San Francisco's Union Square, but at least the city is trying hard to revive it as a public plaza. There's an ice skating rink in the winter (December/January). Also occasional festivals or markets are held here.

The food isn't great and the drinks are average, but the venue is a great spot for a party. The back is very loungy and is naturally separated by a large pillar in the middle of the room. This makes it an ideal semi private area. The waitresses are incredibly nice and do a good job of serving you even ...

Wow, the biggest library I've ever stepped into! The library is so huge. There are so many floors here, they even have negative floors!!! Each floor is devoted to a certain subject. The library itself is beautiful inside and outside. Honestly, you can probably tour this place for about 30-1hr, its that big and its a library.

The Bona Vista Lounge is the rotating restaurant on the 34th floor of the Westin Bonaventure, although you enter through the 35th floor. The restaurant at the top does not revolve. There's a light food menu, limited bar, and a limit dessert menu compared to the full restaurant upstairs.

Downtown L.A.'s only remaining used bookshop, Caravan Books eschews the Internet. The interior could be a backdrop for a movie set in 19th century England. All bibliophiles should visit it.
