Located inside the Carlton Hotel, the Millesime restaurant is reflection of extended class from the hotel lobby. They are mainly known for their seafood cuisines and do a great job at being known. I recently had the Chatham Codfish entree which I can't stop boosting about. The cod was fluffy, delicious, and laid over a tasty bed of rice surrounded by a light savory moat of clams and coconut sauce.

Substitute the Seine for the Hudson, and you could be in a Left Bank brasserie; Millesime’s ornate crown moldings and red banquettes hearken back to those 1920s Hemingway haunts. Even the cocktail menu is a trip through French history, with appearances from Coco Chanel, Honoré de Balzac, and Napoleon (listed under Short and Potent). Michelin-starred chef Laurent Manrique oversees this high-energy establishment, where guests return for the enormous shareable seafood platters as well as staples like steak frites and hearty brasserie food.

Description

Millesime is a casual seafood brasserie. The menu from Chef Laurent Manrique draws its inspiration from the classic seafood dishes found throughout France, and features fresh, seasonal ingredients sourced from local waters and nearby farms. Dishes are prepared with straightforward French cooking techniques and bold flavors in a space that reminds you of the vibrant cafes and brasseries of Paris. Red banquettes, a marble raw bar and an open kitchen allow you to peek in on the culinary team at work.
