If you enjoy history, you must check out the Mill City Museum. The elevator ride and the film, "Minneapolis in 19 Minutes," are not to be missed. There is an area specially geared towards children and every Saturday there is a Farmer's Market (smaller and indoors during the winter).

I'm a little biased because it's my hometown, but there's a reason we show up on so many "best city" lists. We just use our winters to keep out the riffraff.

I spent some time exploring the skyway in downtown. Lots of second floor walkways with little shops and restaurants, fun to just walk around, especially when it was hot outside.

Lived here for 4 years during my university years. Loved the fact that there was so much to offer as far as culture and the arts. From the Guthrie to the Walker to the Orchestra Hall there is always something exciting going on. Lots of cute cafes and restaurants as well as indie music and bookstores. The weather in the fall and spring is lovely and if you can survive the winters here, you can live almost anywhere!
