everything tasted fine, just wasn't extremely impressed. had their lemon tart, seasonal bread pudding, tomato n corn quiche, and iced coffee. both the quiche and bread pudding were fluffy and eggy. fresh fruit on the bread pudding was delicious! iced coffee was standard, had to add my own sugar. overall also a touch pricey for my liking. takes card. community ...

    Foreign Cinema

    57 reviews

One of the early pioneers of the Mission district foodie scene. It's still worth a visit, especially on nice evenings. Don't plan to see a good foreign movie on the neighboring building wall in the courtyard- it's more just for dramatic ambiance.

    Pizzeria Delfina

    48 reviews

Great Neapolitan style pizza in the Mission. I have a couple pizza-loving friends in the area, and while SF has quite a few delicious options for all types of pizza, this one tends to be mentioned in revered tone. I've assumed it's a bit of a pizza-mecca. Now that I've tried their pizza this past visit, I understand now why ...

    Humphry Slocombe

So my original opinion was that I wasn't a fan of their ice cream. The flavors were just too strong for me. That's my personal opinion. But I did give it another shot, and if I mix the secret breakfast with a scoop of their vanilla...It's not half bad! Still it doesn't make the cut for my favorite ice cream ...

Absolutely loved this place! They have a great selection of beers as well as cocktails. Their outdoor seating is especially nice, with a down to earth feel. Cash only though - remember to bring some because their ATM charged a $3 fee!

This really is one of my favorite restaurants in San Francisco, right next to NOPA. It is consistently crowded for dinner though, and unfortunately they don't take reservations for smaller groups. Therefore my best experiences have been for brunch and large group dinners. It's especially nice to rent out the downstairs area for large parties. Every single time, the food ...

    El Farolito

    28 reviews

El Farolito was recently named one of the best Burritos in America by the one and only Nate Silver, the same guy who predicted Obama's 2012 win. Silver's prediction lives up to its billing here, as I ate the Super Burrito. For just $7.25 or so, you get a huge burrito, a ton of flavor, and the definite feeling that ...

    Mission Beach Cafe

    25 reviews

This is an amazing brunch spot with a mostly young, local crowd. The cafe is pretty cozy but crowded with a mix of American and French themed food for brunch. Pastries are amazing! Try a canele, a small pastry with a caramelized crust and soft custard middle. The Benedict with crab and shrimp is a great brunch choice, as is ...

    La Taqueria

    24 reviews

La Taqueria serves the best tacos in San Francisco. Going on their twenty-fifth year, they are always packed with locals and tourists alike. The owner is often smiling behind the register ready to answer questions, and give samples of their delectable meats, and sweet home-made agua frescas. The carnitas taco with cheese, guacamole, and pico de gallo is my favorite ...

    Monk's Kettle

It's been a few years, but their beer selection is FAB. There are tons and tons to choose from, and many of them are really high in alcohol; a perfect way to start your night of drinking in the Mission!

Wow! I'd say this is a pretty swanky place my mission restaurant standards. I love the interior and the family style tables. Anything you order here will absolutely satisfying. I highly recommend the Fried Egg Sandwich and the oysters!

Bi-Rite is a haven and heaven for cheese, cured meats, olives, its own delicatessen with multiple sandwich choices, wines, chocolates, and the list goes on. Rosamunde Sausage Grill - Mission District

    17 reviews

Are you a fan of gourmet sausages? Rosemunde's has you covered. Deep in the heart of the Mission, Rosemunde's serves up 5-10 (depending on the day and time of day) types of homemade sausage with all the fixin's. My favorite is the andouille sausage with grilled onions and chili on top! All that for around 8 bucks? Awesome. Rosemunde's also ...

    Limon Rotisserie

    20 reviews

Limon's rotisserie chicken is to die for. $10.95 for a half chicken (as of May 17, 2012) that comes with two side dishes is enough to make a man happy. Other Peruvian items, such as ceviche and lomito saltado are very delicious, too. Friendly bar tender and great food. What else can a man ask for?
