    Dolores Park

    142 reviews

The park is huge and has a large grass area and play structure. There's a view of all the skyscrapers of SF and if you're lucky, you can enjoy the view from a green bench at the top of the hill.

    Pi Bar

    13 reviews

If you love pizza and beer (and who doesn't?), Pi Bar is a worthwhile stop. With both tables and a bar area, there are plenty of places to sit. Their pies are quite large and the beer selection (both on tap and in bottles) is impressive. During the afternoon, they have a beer+slice special that should appeal to those looking ...

    Rainbow Grocery

This place is insane. Good luck finding parking. Yes, I guess the selection is great but I'm not sure it's worth the stress. Haven't been back in years.

    Sports Basement

    12 reviews

The Sports Basement is HUGE! It is inside the old Post Exchange Commissary of the old Presidio of San Francisco Army Base, across from Crissy Field. The open cavernous building is spread out into different sections, with the beam walls between them still showing the old grocery titles, like Produce, Meats, etc. The Sports Basement doesn't just fill the old ...

    Elbo Room

Got a free tank top with "Subsonic Sound System" or something like that graffiti logo on it. I was so close to the stage/performers & that's how I got it from the singer. Hehe.. I think I've been here twice. The first time I was here was the time that I got the free tank top. Awesome night of dancing ...

    Public Works

    8 reviews

If you like to dance to electronica but don't like the pretentious downtown scene, Public Works is your place. Reasonable door charges, drink prices and a diverse and hip crowd ensure a fun, sweaty time. Several rooms give you the option of partying with various volumes of people.

Another dive bar in the Mission, though with a hidden twist. Once you enter, it seems like a narrow dive bar. Forget that though, walk straight to the back and enter "The Hideout @ The Dalva". They make some of the best drinks there. I really enjoyed it, it's great to take a date if they're the adventurous type. Parking ...

Pretty eclectic bar, great for happy hours! They have Trivia Tuesdays (Trivia starts at 8 with $1 tacos, and 2-for-1 margaritas all night long!), Wing Wednesdays (25 cent wings all night! I like the sweet chili habanero ones). Nightly Specials: Sunday: Buy a Shot, Get a Pony! Monday: $10 Burger and a Beer, $5 Fernet shots all night! Tuesday: 2-for-1 ...

    Casanova Lounge

    7 reviews

I don't know what magic they're spinning, but even on Casanova's most crowded nights, I always manage to get a drink in a five minutes. And let me tell you: this place gets crowded. I often wonder how people even get through in this space. When I think of the hipster heart of the city, it's Casanova. Located at 16th ...

Hipster bar in the mission. Barrels and wooden tables and picnic benches. Good beers on tap, and a good vibe overall. That's what's important!

    Latin American Club

    6 reviews

We all joke about being able to handle a stiff drink, but you may eat (or drink, rather) those words when you try the margarita from Latin America Club. I've been around the bars in my time, and I can sadly say I'm only able to put away two of those bad boys. Regardless, this is a great Mission bar ...

    Mission Cliffs Rock Climbing Center

    5 reviews

Fun place to do something active in the Mission. I'm not sure it would be the best place to learn - I'd say it's better tailored to climbers who are already a decent standard - but there are beginner options. They also take safety seriously and all climbers must complete a belay / rope competency test.
