Japanese brand mister donut is so delicious!! I wish there were donuts this good back in the us. The donuts are more airy , usually filled with a cream or custard, and usually cute as a button. I especially like the ring of circles donut they have , which they use on their lion mascot as his mane. Cheap, delicious, completely worth the visit!

Mister Donut is a popular donut chain in Japan that actually originated in America. A chain that did not last in the States thrives in Japan as it is one of the dominant donut shops.
This shop is located on a prime corner in Nakasu and very convenient to the Nakasukawabata subway station. The donut shop is just about open almost all day, but closes for a 2 hour window in the early morning (5-7 am).
Mister Donut's selection is comparable to Krispy Kreme, though I think they are a smidge smaller in size. However, they make up for it in the tastiness of their flavors which are a bit more decadent. Their affiliation with Peanuts characters also makes for some interesting cross promotion products.
If you are a fan of donuts, I would suggest visiting a Mister Donut location when in Japan to see how they compare.
