The Miyi Hotel is a low-mid range hotel with everything you need, comfortable and clean rooms in a good location. It’s maybe about a 7-8 minute walk from Taipei Main Station. The rooms were quite comfortable, though small, and the lower-tier rooms do not have a window. Still, the beds were very comfortable and clean, and every room has its own panel television. The bathroom was clean and had all the necessities, including a bathtub and hairdryer. The hotel has a complimentary breakfast for guests. If you forget to bring a computer, you can borrow one from the hotel, and there is an onsite meeting room that can be rented as well. It’s a decent place to stay for its location – close to Taipei Main – and lots of shopping nearby, from street stalls to department stores. But make sure to reserve early, the small (25 room) hotel books out quickly.

Miyi is a small hotel two blocks away from Taipei main station. The location is extremely convenient and their prices are quite low. The rooms are small but clean and comfortable. There's free western breakfast every day, but I much preferred the Taiwanese breakfast you can buy at any of the random breakfast places a block or two away.

The exterior of the building is pretty outstanding from the buildings around it, smaller and cozy feeling. The lobby is small, but the staff is very nice. The rooms are basic, but surprisingly comfortable. Even though the hotel is located in a relatively bustling part of town, inside the room it’s like a quiet respite from the noise. It’s tucked away in a small alley, so narrow that you can clearly see the food through the window of the spicy hot pot restaurant across the street. Public transportation is very convenient. One block down from the hotel is the National Taiwan Museum (not to be confused with the National Palace Museum). There’s lots of shopping nearby like the underground mall, department stores, and it’s relatively close to Ximending, a favorite among younger visitors.

Miyi is a very small hotel which is just a few minutes’ walk from the Taipei Main Station, so it’s very easy to hop on the train and get around Taipei. There’s a Shin Kong Mitsukoshi (department store), a Uniqlo store (famous clothing store from Japan), and various restaurants all within a couple of blocks from Miyi. You may walk right by the entrance to Miyi since it’s just a door blended into a row of stores. The lobby, elevator, and hallways are all very small. The room itself is also small, but it’s a comfortable room. It’s a great value for the price, especially in Taipei. Breakfast is included every morning, but the menu of sandwiches, coffee, apple and grape juice is the same every day. There are plenty of traditional Taiwanese breakfast places a few blocks away from the hotel if you want something more local. The room key does have to be dropped off with the staff in the lobby every time you leave the hotel.
Amenities include breakfast buffet, meeting room rental, fax and copy services, laundry service, computer rental service, morning-call service, airport pick-up/drop-off, luggage storage, and taxi reservation.
Miyi Hotel’s 25 guestrooms come equipped with flat-screen televisions, cable television, wired and wireless Internet access, mini refrigerator, hairdryer, hot water kettle. Rooms include complimentary bottled water, coffee/tea, bathrobes, slippers.
