This is a Seattle favorite.
Surprisingly rain or shine you'll see a little line outside of this neighborhood ice cream shop. It gets busy after school or after dinner.
If you are in a hurry and can't wait in line just go to the freezer and grab a pint or three and head to the cash register. The line is for scoops.
If you want to linger and taste lots of samples and still find a place to sit inside try going to the Queen Anne location. It's tucked off the main street (so parking is easy) and not many people know about it.

When it's a sunny day in Seattle, expect everyone to flock here. People I encountered were happy to be outside, and especially happy to endure a long line just to enjoy some artisan ice cream.
We were fortunate to beat the after school rush, but with only one gal working behind the counter, the line didn't move very quickly. You could tell she was pretty peeved that her co-worker wasn't around to help, but she managed to keep her composure and scoop samples and orders with a cool attitude.
The smell of the freshly made waffle cones was so tantalizing, I knew I had to get one. Though all of their flavors sounded interesting, I got a scoop of Theo chocolate and balsamic strawberry. Berry and chocolate has always been one of my favorite combos. The ice cream was so creamy, and the waffle cone tasted just as good as it smelled. It was definitely worth the wait!

Finally got a chance to visit Molly Moon's on my most recent trip to Seattle. And, I have to say, I'm a fan.
The quality of the ice cream is top notch. Plenty of flavor options to choose from, and they are not stingy with you tasting them. Also, they happily sell their kiddie scoops to adults, which, is always a plus in my book.
The only negatives ~ 1. their salted caramel was too salty imo, which was disappointing, and 2. they don't stuff their cones with ice cream which while isn't a requirement makes all the difference (and the extra star).
