I have been frequenting this market since I was a kid so I really love it!
It has any type of shoe or army/navy stuff you could ever want. The location is in central Athens near the Acropolis so highly trafficked with tourists. Tons of touristy shops and everyone speaks English. It is open till about 9pm in the summer after that time I would avoid cutting through there to get back to your hotel as the seedier elements of the city will be roaming.Recommended for:

A paved street with a variety of shops, some of theem with quite alternative products. Usually, It's packed with people but it could be considered as a nice experience if you want to feel like a real tourist in Greece or if you just want to buy something.

You can definitely lose a good 3-4 hours here if you are a shopper. Just be wary of the folks that are walking through and selling items. They can be a little irritating and follow you around. We didn't buy much as we didn't have any more room in our suitcases but you can find some awesome buys here, especially if you like to haggle.

This is a great place where to spend a few hours, as it is a day market and quite large. It is a flea market but also a place where you can find great leather goods and leather sandals hand made. The prices vary and you can actually find very good deals. Prices can be negotiated and you can find any different item, from collection articles to antiques to brand new fashion objects. There are also a few places where you can grab a fast lunch and a great Greek coffee to drink very slowly as the locals do.
