Skybar, the L.A. nightlife staple that's found on the roof of this popular hotel, can be tough to get into, but guests of the hotel are automatically on the guest list. That's reason enough to stay here, but the hotel itself is also quite posh and worth a visit.Recommended for:

To celebrate my dear friends 30th birthday we decided to spend a night at the Mondrian ! With all the outstanding reviews and the amazing pictures we thought this was probably the best route to go!
We checked in at around 8pm and were offered with complimentary waters and great staff! The hotel is full of little bits of tricks from a random swing in the middle of the hall way to random TVs and screen when you pull up to a room!
Very futuristic !
We got to our upgraded room and was amazed at the random mirror right in front of the bed, I later figured out it was actually a TV set!! The balcony was great viewing the skybar from above and the view of West LA!
We thought we were going to get a pull out bed couch but the couch can probably sleep two girls since it was SO huge! The only bed in the room was the king bed that actually fit 4 girls comfortably! (well four really tiny Asian girls at least)
The only 2 things i would complain about was the instant scent of Smoke right when we walked into the hotel and that we were promised a pull out couch but didn't get it.
Aside from that we actually got a personalized note from David Hoefer the assistant front office manager, thanking us for our stay...now that is some customer service skills!Recommended for:

Mondrian is an absolutely gorgeous hotel.
To bad that's about all it has going for it.
First star off because they over booked the rooms. We originally booked a two bed room. They only had a room with 1 bed left. They did not bother trying to upgrade us because they overbooked and were a bit rude about it over all.
Second star off, why an ice bucket when you can't even get your own ice?! And third and fourth star off when I have to call in over 4 times to have ice delivered, and oh wait, the ice never came.

I stayed here on a weekend trip to LA to celebrate both the end of ALC and Pride -- so the centrally (to WeHo) located Mondrian was really a no-brainer. Within walking distance (just up the hill) of all the restaurants, bars and clubs of WeHo, the Mondrian provides the perfect perch for out-of-town visitors. Great views of the city from their super-trendy pool deck are worth the price of the rooms alone. The hotel itself does feel like it's lost a little of its luster over the years, and the hallways between rooms are pretty dark and cramped (a bit claustrophobic, really)... but that's probably not why you're staying at the hotel (unless you're just REALLY into hallways -- everyone has their thing).Recommended for:

I'm a big fan of the Morgan's group of Hotels. When I'm in L.A. you catch me on weeknight or a Sunday at the Skybar pool at the Mondrian. I love being around the Sunset Strip. This hotel has it all. sophisticated, modern, cool , hip, West Hollywood local. If by chance you are hunting for stars while you're in L.A. the chances are good that you will always see a Jennifer Anniston ect. I met Tommy Lee from Motley Crew at the Skybar once. If you're going to party on the strip, or just want to drink at the Sky Bar, this is place to be. Modern rooms in white. Try to get a room overlooking the pool..There is also an Asia de Cuba restaurant inside the Mondrian.Recommended for:

This luxury boutique hotel is situated in the hollywood hills right of sunset strip and has some of the most amazing views in the city! With Skybar and Asia de Cuba located right on site you wont need to venture far but should you want to Sunset strip is right out the front door. Wish stylistically decorated suites and amazing balcony views the Mondarian does not disappointRecommended for:

Not as cutting-edge as it once was, the Mondrian is still a sexy, sunny spot and it's a fun place to spend a weekend, or even just an evening. The music in the pool still surprises me and It's but one of the unique and quirky characteristics that have made this hotel such a success. This Ian shrager/philipe stark creation is a great place to go for dinner, but don't assume going for dinner will get you into famous and infamous sky bar.

I stayed in the one bedroom suite and it was fantastic. The decor was amazing, especially the giant mirror tvs that looked like something from Snow White. It is in a Las Vegas strip like part of West Hollywood but there are tons of shopping and bars around it. I would definitley consider staying here again.

The restaurant Asia De Cuba is good. The rooms are very lavish, the tv is in a mirror. The floors are nice and the linens for the beds seems to be of quality. It had style. Art is important to this hotel as well. Rooms are small though. It is very pricey. Non-guest come here for the scene and lounge at the pool and hang at the bars. Check out the ping-pong.

You know the place is cool when they don't even have the name of the hotel on the outside. Just two big fixtures that look like doors that indicates that something is there. To be honest I drove by it twice before I realized that I had missed it.
If you want to totally enjoy yourself and make it worth the trek through the traffic, I'd suggest spending the night. You won't be disappointed.
The rooms are ridiculously modern and nice. The best is super comfy ... but you probably won't be spending a lot of time there.
The Sky Bar is a pimp place to hang and mingle. You can have a cocktail by the pool at any time of the day.
I'd also highly recommend hitting up Asia De Cuba. It's a creative take on cuban fusion ... very unique and very good.

This trendy, ultra modern boutique hotel offers a memorable stay on a hip area in town. The standard room is beautifully decorated, comfortable and offers great city views. The restaurant, the ‘Asia de Cuba’ cuisine is relatively good along with a pleasant fine dining atmosphere. The Sky Bar, the ambiance is especially distinctive as beautiful lights are fired by night and hip souls hang out on these seat/beds while sipping a cosmo. The reception team was somewhat arrogant. The area is not really friendly for walking around as most attractions are not reachable by foot.Recommended for:
