It takes an hour to trek to Teluk Duyung @ Monkey Beach from the main entrance of the forest reserve. Book your return via a fisherman's boat at the carpark entrance for MYR80 per trip. It'll save you the return trek.
Some enterprising locals have set up drinks stands so you can purchase a cold drink after your hike. You can even rent banana boats and jet skis if you are feeling adventurous.

Somewhat a secret unless you know the locals. White sands, crystal waters, and surrounded with lush vegatation. Located along the coast of Batu Ferranghi in Penang, Malaysia, Monkey Beach can be accessed by small boat or sailboard and it worth spending a day just relaxing. Bring a picnic and enjoy getting away from the crowds. Just as an FYI you will share the waters with lots of marine life including jellyfish. Should you get stung ask a local how to prevent any pain and trust the answer!
