The spa at the Monterey Plaza Hotel sits on the roof of this impressive property. The intimate hot tub and fireplace waiting area has spectacular views over Monterey Bay. Although I have already soaked once today, I’m disappointed that I did not bring my bathing suit for a dip here. It’s the small details of the spa that really set ...

Gorgeous location for a wedding reception. My friend had a small 80-person reception in their beautiful ballroom. Right outside the ballroom is a patio that overlooks the world class golf links where you can watch the sunset. There is a Roy's Hawaiian fusion restaurant and Peppoli Italian restaurant located in the resort. Cocktails at Trap's bar & lounge are very ...

I only went for their spa... which was nice though it was a trek to get to if you're coming from the lobby. You go up.. then cross a walk way... and then turn here.. then enter a space portal, get on a boat, pay the toll... long story short its not the easiest place to get to... unlike some ...

My family and I own a timeshare and stay here for up to a week once a year. It's always pleasant and a nice break away from the city, work, deadlines and troublesome boyfriends. The staff is friendly but most of all the views are gorgeous! Stop in the lobby when you can, it overlooks the ocean. Very strict no ...

When I like to go low key in Monterey I like to go here....especially since they have these great fire places....and it's all soooo close....walking distance close to the wharf. And you know how much I love that clam chowder. Not even the Monterey rain could keep me from getting a pint of the creamy stuff. And at the Grotto ...

Stayed here for a corporate event. Nice hotel that is located a few minutes from Cannery Row. The rooms are spacious with a contemporary design. The bathroom was very modern....shower only, no tub. The property is very big, so be prepared to walk quite a bit if they put you in a room on the far side of the lot.

A great place for a retreat or big event. I went to a wonderful wedding here. The beach is just across the street, and the grounds are located in windswept sand dunes. A very relaxing environment, with some classic NorCal coastline.

Oh, the atmosphere is bucolic and charming, with woolly sheep grazing in the pastures leading down to the beach. But these historic accommodations are (a) way overpriced and (b) not as well upkept as they should be. If you want lumpy beds, thin walls and drafty yesteryear accommodations, then by all means book this inn. Props to Clint Eastwood for ...

While golfers know this elegant 161-room resort for its legendary links, the Lodge’s location near Monterey Wine Country makes it appealing to oenophiles as well. The local Monterey Wine Trolley in downtown Monterey runs groups through popular wineries in the foggy, mountain-ringed Carmel Valley, 15 minutes away; for a more personalized experience, book a custom daylong wine tour with a ...

Mount Hermon Redwood Camp is a great retreat place to find yourself wanting to go back from time to time. My family suggested this place to my younger brother for a spiritual retreat. He loved it and glad he was there for the weekend retreat.

Let's face it...it's a funny name and it attracted my attention the first time I had heard of this. This is a hard place to find...but well worth the search.
