Gorgeous location for a wedding reception. My friend had a small 80-person reception in their beautiful ballroom. Right outside the ballroom is a patio that overlooks the world class golf links where you can watch the sunset. There is a Roy's Hawaiian fusion restaurant and Peppoli Italian restaurant located in the resort. Cocktails at Trap's bar & lounge are very ...Popular with

This is my favorite hotel in Monterey, for both location and overall execution of hotel style and luxury. As a Monterey local, I've never actually stayed in the rooms myself, but have had numerous friends stay here and often stop by to eat at the adjacent Schooners Cafe. The hotel is seated right on the Monterey Bay, and by right ...Popular with

We have been to the Intercontinental in Monterey several times and each time, we are blown away by the beauty of the location and the hotel itself. Staff is very friendly and service minded. The restaurant "C Bar" has spectacular views and the food during dinner and lunch was very good. Breakfast is a different story. The buffet looked tired ...Popular with

Get a fire going and get cozy. The two-story suites and the views from the rooms are fabulous. The best spot in Carmel for a romantic weekend. Pacific Edge restaurant there is excellent as well. Service, food and wine selection are all fantastic. Pricey but completely worth it. A gorgeous scenic location for weddings.Popular with

Great hotel with lovely service and peaceful atmosphere. I'm not usually a huge fan of Santa-Fe architecture, but it works very well here.Popular with

Stayed here for a corporate event. Nice hotel that is located a few minutes from Cannery Row. The rooms are spacious with a contemporary design. The bathroom was very modern....shower only, no tub. The property is very big, so be prepared to walk quite a bit if they put you in a room on the far side of the lot.Popular with

Overlooking the Main Beach and Santa Cruz Pier, this clifftop boutique hotel has all the right views you've been dreaming of for your beach getaway. The oceanfront restaurant, also atop the hill, may not be worth it for dinner, but happy hour drinks and appetizers are definitely a more chic date than hitting the bars downtown on Pacific Street or ...Popular with

My family loves this place - nice pool, lots of family friendly activities, usually pretty warm. I like the Carmel area, but I feel like this place is a bit overpriced for what it is. Much of that is because the restaurants on the property are so expensive. If you stay here, you may want to explore the area for ...Popular with

It pays to be nice... Fortunately for me my plus one checked us in and followed my advice and got us to the top floor of the hotel into a house sized suite overlooking the wharf free of charge. It's a nice hotel, centrally located, walking distance to everything and right in front of the free trolley that passes for ...Popular with

Not quite sure what to think of this place. It can't seem to decide if it is a hotel resort, scout camp, or state park - I guess because it's a little of all of those. The rooms are not cheap - $159 a night. For that, you get something akin to a circa 1985 Motel 6. All meals are ...Popular with

Oh, the atmosphere is bucolic and charming, with woolly sheep grazing in the pastures leading down to the beach. But these historic accommodations are (a) way overpriced and (b) not as well upkept as they should be. If you want lumpy beds, thin walls and drafty yesteryear accommodations, then by all means book this inn. Props to Clint Eastwood for ...

While golfers know this elegant 161-room resort for its legendary links, the Lodge’s location near Monterey Wine Country makes it appealing to oenophiles as well. The local Monterey Wine Trolley in downtown Monterey runs groups through popular wineries in the foggy, mountain-ringed Carmel Valley, 15 minutes away; for a more personalized experience, book a custom daylong wine tour with a ...Popular with

Let's face it...it's a funny name and it attracted my attention the first time I had heard of this. This is a hard place to find...but well worth the search. My party had stayed in a suite that seemed to encompass the entire top of one of the bluffs over looking....the woods and I think it was the highway....then I ...Popular with

We really liked this place. The rooms were spacious and nicely appointed. Each room comes with a big gas fireplace that you could turn on to warm up the room and give it a cosy feel (nice on a foggy morning), and a small balcony with a view of the sea. The beds were comfortable (although the blankets were a ...Popular with

You might drive right past this hotel as you come off of Hwy 1 or 17, but don't! The Hotel Paradox is new boutique hotel in Downtown Santa Cruz. You'll be pleasantly surprised to find that the interior is very modern. The decor is urban forest chic. Be sure to look for white squirrel sculptures running along the wall of ...

Great dog-friendly hotel in the ultimate dog-friendly town. Short walk to the white san beach, steps away from great restaurants in the heart of downtown Carmel. Cypress Inn is fantastic--- Doris Day's hotel. Quaint, old-style charm. Would love to visit again soon!
